“We are a large law firm with a significant practise in clinical negligence and personal injury. Our case work involves catastrophic injuries affecting clients, which means that they often have special accommodation needs. As part of the claim it may be necessary to purchase and adapt a property so that it is suitable for a wheelchair dependant client or for clients with other disabilitiies.
We would like to express our gratitude for the work by Mr Paul Edwards of Town & Country Architecture. He took on a complex project for us dealing with a familty of four with a severely disabled child. The family were settled in the area and needed suitable accommodation adapting for them. The local area has a distinct character in keeping with a conservation area. Careful and sensitive handling was required for the family’s needs, particularly the disabled child’s needs and also to balance this with achieving suitable pleasant accommodation appropriate for the local area and which would be accepted by the planning authorities.
Through Mr Edwards’ work an excellent scheme has been developed. Of note is that he provided a fixed quote which was reasonable and which was divided into logical stages. He has kept us informed at every stage and kept within the budget allocated for his work. I believe that because of Mr Edwards’ careful work and preparations planning permission was granted very smoothly. The tender process for building has been very effective and the works are now due to be completed.
